crazy world
I spent most of November and December depressed out of my mind, working on a project that teetered on the edge of the abyss for many of those weeks, and working long hours to keep it on the right side of “on time.” In the end, I wasn’t told something that I should have been, making me late, but I got it all together and got it done only a day after my original deadline. I thought I had it wrapped up on Friday, but a phone call later and I had to make several changes, which require edits on almost every paragraph I wrote and playing through an entire game over a weekend while making those edits.
I just went into the kitchen to make some tea, since I’m going to be up a while longer. I bought a water heater thing from Walgreen’s, a “Hot Pot”. It’s neat, heats up water really fast, and is great for tea. I bought it maybe two weeks ago. I lifted the lid today and there was a nice layer of rust on the side of the burner, nice and caked up and unavoidable, tainting the water. I almost threw the hot pot across the kitchen. I had to take a minute to stop being angry before I put it down.
I’m having kind of a hard time.
